Fishing with Randy and Kenny 5/13/17
by Capt Juls on 05/13/17I left my house at 4:45 this morning. Stopped in at Rickard's Bait and Tackle for a bag of ice, and then picked my crew up a little after 5am at the Country Inn and Suites. We hit Micky D's to grab some breakfast "to go", and headed to Catawba to launch by 5:30am.
We headed out on a calm lake....(finally, those north and east winds had stopped blowing, and gave us a reprieve for a change)...set up a short distance from the launch in 19 feet of water, and pointed the bow of the boat west. We had good marks, but they weren't jumping in the boat like they did last Wednesday.
We only managed three walleye today....all on Bandits 55 back at 1.7mph.
I'll be fishing with Randy and Kenny again in the morning, and plan on an even earlier start (5am). We hope to be on a better bite tomorrow....we shall see.

Oh, and Happy Mother's Day to all you Mom's out there! My Mom is pretty awesome....and, I'm very fortunate that I got to be her's. :)
